There's other assorted : hacks to make it work in the ports tree, but (as has been known : for *years*) there is no sensible way to upgrade anything with : just standard ports methods. This is the first time I've hit these problems then... :-( The meta-ports make it worse, I think, but I'll give portupgrade -uR a spin. I'll likely need to add -f to that since I've already build and installed parts of it by hand.
