Most people I know use their floppy drives either via tar/pax/cpio and don't bother with a file system at all or use the mtools to access a FAT file system without the hassle of mounting and unmounting it. If you really want to mount floppies you're best off with a set of different mount points and different /etc/fstab entries for the different file systems.
