I have /usr/ports/databases/mysql323-server installed, and it is up and running. If I do: > mysql -h localhost Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g. Your MySQL connection id is 1 to server version: 3.23.55 Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the buffer. mysql> It works fine. However, if I do: > mysql -h lilbuddy.antsclimbtree.com ERROR 2013: Lost connection to MySQL server during query That's what I get. lilbuddy.antsclimbtree.com is the hostname of the server machine, and I'm doing this from that machine. Any idea what's wrong? Thanks! -- Mark Edwards San Francisco, CA To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
