OK, here's an update:

1) I received a card from David Hedley, thanks David !
2) I downloaded the Linux driver and looked at it briefly. It looks fairly 
simple. That might be bad.
3) I have some contract work which will take pretty much all my time for the 
next 2 months, so the earliest I can seriuosly hack on a FBSD driver will be 
some time in December. Have patience.
