I have a Sony CD-76E (quad speed) which works fine on 2.1R.
As the CD-77 is a slightly faster version I expect that it
should work too.

OK.  Anybody who has an ATAPI CD-ROM which they can't get working
under FreeBSD can send it to me and I'll make a best effort attempt to
get it running.  Sorry, owner pays freight in both directions.

I'm going on vacation at the end of the week, so I can't start this
until then.  Please don't send me drives before contacting me;
firstly, I could be overwhelmed, and secondly, I might already have
the same kind of drive.
