I have a Sony CD-76E (quad speed) which works fine on 2.1R. As the CD-77 is a slightly faster version I expect that it should work too. Anybody who has an ATAPI CD-ROM which they can't get working under FreeBSD can send it to me and I'll make a best effort attempt to get it running. Sorry, owner pays freight in both directions. I'm going on vacation at the end of the week, so I can't start this until then. Please don't send me drives before contacting me; firstly, I could be overwhelmed, and secondly, I might already have the same kind of drive. Greg
