I have recently installed FreeBSD 2.0 onto a 386SX. We intend to use
the machine as a mail and FTP host.

I have two questions.

1) At boot tine the kernel sets up the network device (ed1 in this
case) to the incorrect IRQ of 5, despite my specifiying IRQ 3 duing
the installation. So now I have to boot using -c and change the IRQ
setting by hand. How do I tell the kernel it is really at IRQ3 so I
don't have to be on-hand at boot time?

2) Every now and then (although usually just after booting) I get:
     kernel: wdc0: extra interrupt
being logged. What does this mean? Should I be worried?
Info that may help:
I am using an IDE controller, and the system reports:
   wdc0 at 0x1f0-0x1f7 irq 14 on isa
   wdc0: unit 0 (wd0): <WDC AC280>
   wd0: 81Mb (166600 total sec), 980 cyl, 10 head, 17 sec, bytes/sec
512
   wdc0: unit 1 (wd1): <Kalok KL-3120>
   wd1: 114Mb (235440 total sec), 981 cyl, 6 head, 40 sec, bytes/sec
512

Other than the two problems everything seems fine.

Thanks in advance,
Keith.
