Hi all, here's my situation: I want to do X11 forwarding through a secure channel between a FreeBSD machine and a Macintosh (pre OS X). The FreeBSD machine is running sshd and a graphical login manager (kdm/xdm). The Mac is running an SSH client (MacSSH) and an X Server (MacX). I know i can use MacSSH to do TCP port forwarding. However I don't know which port should i choose to forward. Maybe 177 (as listed in /etc/services for XDMCP)? After setting the encrypted session (forwarded to 127.0.0.1 in the Mac) i was planning to tell MacX to do a direct XDMCP request to 127.0.0.1. Is this correct? If anyone is already doing it I'll appreciate tips and any other pointers to resources or how-tos. Thanks in advance, Fernan -- | F e r n a n A g u e r o | B i o i n f o r m a t i c s | | fernan@iib.unsam.edu.ar | genoma.unsam.edu.ar | To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
