What exactly you mean by crashing ?

There is one pending MFC that shall cure a deadlock/panic scenario for
busy fs being snapshotted. It awaits re@ approval.

Also, there is a situation where exceeding inode quota on softupdate
fs could cause snapshotting to deadlock (fix is in progress).
