have you checked the /var/log/ error messages?
My installation is the english one. I use fluxbox as the windows manager 
and I simply set it up to run opoenoffice.org-2.2.1 and it works with no 
problem.
I couldn't install the jdk16 so I just did the diablok-jdk; I'm using 
cups and all seems to work fine...
