Greets! I have a Dell Poweredge 2300/350 machine that I'm trying to install 5.0-RELEASE on via the CD. I'm getting an unusual error that my searches have revealed very little on (seems to be a problem a lot of laptop users get, although this is a 6U server). Server setup is as follows: Dual 350Mhz 512MB RAM RAID5 via Perc SC/2 (does detect successfully) Booting off RELEASE ISO CD I boot, kernel starts to detect hardware and then these are the last few lines I get before the machine hangs (hard...have to use reset switch. Can't even get a light change from hitting "num lock" anymore) atapci0: <Intel PIIX4ATA33 controller> port 0xffa0-0xffaf at device 7.1 on pci0 atapci0: Busmastering DMA not supported ata0: at 0x1f0 irq 14 on atapci0 ata1: at 0x170 irq 15 on atapci0 uhci0: <Intel 72371AB/EB (PIIX4) USB controller> port 0-0x1f at device 7.2 on pci0 pci_cfgintr: 0:7 INTD routed to irq 14 And that's it. I've never run into anything quite like this... Thoughts?
