However, there's a relatively easy workaround if you have the ports installed: just compile and install ports-mgmt/pkg from source. On 10-CURRENT you'll have to temporarily modify /etc/make.conf to switch back to pkg_tools, compile and install pkg, then follow the same instructions as for setting up pkgng on other branches (edit /etc/make.conf, setup ${LOCALBASE}/etc/pkg.conf, run pkg2ng).
