Actually all NFS mounts that use AUTH_SYS (or all except Kerberized mounts,= if you prefer), so even most NFSv4 mounts will be broken. Although NFSv4 uses strings for users and groups (called owner and owner_gr= oup), the AUTH_SYS authentication header has a 32bit uid and a list of 32bit gids= . rick=
