On Sat, 22 Oct 2011 23:50:23 +0000 (UTC) Eitan Adler <eadler@FreeBSD.org> mentioned: > Log: > - remove maintainer tags from pkg-descr > > Approved by: portmgr > Approved by: bapt (mentor) Without getting into details of the actual change (the rationale of which is questionable per se), was there any actual discussion on this topic which I missed? Getting the mentor and portmgr@ approval is obviously not enough for that kind of changes, there should've been a community consensus on this first. It's also a good gesture to inform a maintainer of the port of the planned changes ask for his/her agreement (even portmgr@ is not authorized to make that kind of changes unless they're fixing the broken thing).
