I had a question about frame types for MPEG and Real
Media encoding.
MPEG consists of I,B and P frames.during periods of
congestion most adaptation mechanisms drop B and P
frames while they pass on the I frames due to its
importance.

Does real media encoding have such I ,B and P frames?

I plan to filter .rm files during periods of
congestion by dropping packets at a proxy.Do i need to
watch out for what type of frames i am dropping while
streaming real media files?

Would appreciate any answers.
Thanks in advance,
Vinod
