I couldn't install FreeBSD (from CD-ROM) in my PC. I tried everything without results. I installed from CD-ROM (with inst_IDE) and the installation stopped after the recognize of hardware. When installing from disk each of the errors d : "Write failure on transfer (wrote -1 bytes of 10240 bytes)" or "Failed to load the root distribution". Here is my PC's configuration: -Pentium 133 - 16 Mb RAM -Board Intel Triton PCI (Award modular BIOS V4.50PG Plug and Play extension V1.0A. -HD controller Intel PIIX E-IDE (Port's: 1F0 and IRQ 14; 170 and IRQ 15). -Display adapter PCI S3VISION868. -CD-ROM Goldstar GCD-R540C.
