At first I thought GREAT now I can experience enough with FreeBSD..well that's the part that indeed happened! I set up a P1 180 MHz with FREEBSD. Two NIC inserted ( a 3COM 3c905 and a NE 2000 ) Whatever I do.. Only one of the cards is working. Either the 3COM or the NE2000. The other one always give the error message device timeout! Well that turned out to be an mis-configuration with the IRQ's. I have modified the values of the NE2000 card 10 times in the KERNEL.did a make depend, make bla bla bla.. IT STILL DOESN'T work and I don't know how to view the IRQ's on a freebsd machine. How can is see which IRQ's are in use?!?!? My sister is really boring me with the question when she is going to get Internet??? Come on guys help me get my sister of my back! :-) Greets, Sander ------=_NextPart_000_0001_01C149E3.7E5D4490 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

Well since a couple of days I got my cable modem. At = first I thought GREAT now I can experience enough with FreeBSD….well = that’s the part that indeed happened!

I set up a P1 180 MHz with FREEBSD. Two NIC inserted = ( a 3COM 3c905 and a NE 2000 ) =

Whatever I do…. Only one of the cards is = working. Either the 3COM or the NE2000. The other one always = give the error message device = timeout!

Well that turned out to be an mis-configuration with the IRQ’s.

I have modified the values of the NE2000 card 10 = times in the KERNEL…did a make depend, make bla = bla bla….   IT STILL DOESN’T work and = I don’t know how to view the IRQ’s on a freebsd machine. How can is see which IRQ’s are in use?!?!?

My sister is really boring me with the question when = she is going to get Internet???
