I figured that there would be a lot of things to update or verify.

I could use some help getting started. I have made individual
contributions to various ports over the years but nothing as
involved as updating a language and all its dependencies.

Is there some sort of checklist of steps to take or other form
of coordination for something of this magnitude? I don’t want
to step on anyone’s work or mess things up.

What sort of environment should I be doing the work in?
Most of my machines are running FreeBSD 12.2-RELEASE-p4.
I do have one running CURRENT but I haven’t had a chance to
update it since early January.

Kim
