and another data point. I can't reproduce any ahc related errors on an Intel L440GX+ motherboard with the ahc7896 chipset with 4.2-RC as of Saturday. (BIOS 14.1, Adaptec BIOS 2.57S3) originally I had thought it was my hardware since I was installing it on a hand-me-down server.
