Hello, It seems that my serial console stops transmitting data to my terminal program. I am using minicom to communicate with the freebsd box through a serial cable. The system is FreeBSD 4.7, dual 233Mhz CPU with 128Meg RAM. I can boot the machine and see the data come up on the serial console and then user the serial console. However sometimes, like today I was uisng ping6 it ping the ip address 4 times then stopped and the serial console was 'seemingly' unresponsive. As it turns out the data that I type in the serial console is geting transmitted to the server, but the data is not showing up in my serial program. If I log out and log back in I can ssh to the machine and cat the auth.log and see that the serial console login went though okay, but I cannot see what I am typing on the serial console. First has anyone else see this behavior? Second, if so how did you resolve it or did you? Oh and someone once mentioned using echo Control-O and that did not work. Any other ideas? Thanks, Joe __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable.
