My requirements: PCI-X SAS controller with 2 or more ports to connect SAS drives, stable and reliable work on FreeBSD 9 (amd64), not expensive solution. RAID functions aren't required - I work with ZFS. I have: - Intel Server Board S5520HCT, - 2 SAS 2.5in drives 15K rpm for sql database, - 4 SATA drives for system and web accounts. -- Best regards Szumak
