Thanks everybody, but I think it is time to say goodbye
to FreeBSD and move to Linux.

Perhaps it is not the fxp0 driver causing the lockup...but
something is.

Since it is locking up with no kernel panic I can only guess the
cause.

While FreeBSD was loaded, the server was locking up every couple
hours or so.

Yesterday I put linux on the box. It has run for close to 24 hours
without even any warnings.

I really, really would like to stay with FreeBSD, but I am stumped.

If anybody could suggest a logic way to isolate the problem I would
apprecite it.
