Steve & Ceri pointed me in the right direction by basically saying (although much more nicely), "Hey, idiot. Check to see that the kernel image you're loading actually has support for the em driver" -- which it didn't. I thought we were still using a generic kernel during the installs, but I guess that had changed at some point and I never noticed. :sigh: Thanks for the help and, again, I'm sorry for the spam. :) -Jamie
