Very old SB16 cards (the ones with IDE controllers) are quite
good but the newer generations are to be avoided. The last time I
asked a friend on this subject he gave a pointer to a 8 in 4 out audio
card. That's not suitable for such a project. My best guess it to pipe
a numerical signal to an hi-fi numerical amplifier.
