And in case the user installs libdvdnav (which doesn't need to be present when compiling xine nor totem) DVD support is added to both xine and totem as xine-libs looks for an appropriate media handler when encountering a file/dvd which it cannot handle itself. Neither xine nor totem need to be patched as xine-libs dynamically uses libdvdnav to add DVD support.
