I have been trying to get the integrated sound card on my computer (a Dell OptiPlex GX300) to work, but I don't know how to configure it, what driver to use, etc. Here's all the info I've been able to gather about it: An entry in dmesg says pci0: <unknown card> (vendor=0x806, dev=0x2413) at 31.3 irq 10 chip1: <Intel 82801AA (ICH) AC'97 Audio Controller> port 0xdc80-0xdcbf, 0xd800-0xd8ff irq 10 at device 31.5 on pci0 The system's documentation says: type: Sound Blaster Emulation controller: Analog Devices AD1881 AC97 codec interface PCI bus/AC97 Windows says its a "Sound Max Integrated Digital Audio" and repeats the port and irq that dmesg output What I want to know is if it is a supported chip, which driver should I use if it is, and which lines should I put in my kernel config file? At least I would like to know the sytax for a PCI soundcard kernel config. To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
