PS: Many GPL'ed projects require that you execute an assignment of rights for contributed code, so that they can change the license, if they so choose. Among these projects is MySQL, *all* FSF projects (gcc, gdb, etc.), Kaffe, and so on. The "consideration" in this case is specifically stated in the assignments of rights agreement to be for the review of any contributed code by the project.
