The following reply was made to PR i386/59895; it has been noted by GNATS. From: webjedi@speakeasy.net To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, derek@computinginnovations.com, spam@spamspam.com Cc: dak@solo.net, webjedi@speakeasy.net Subject: Re: i386/59895: [hang] system hangs from disk IO errors [SATA] && Re: i386/63430: [ata] TIMEOUT - ATA READ Date: Mon, 04 Oct 2004 14:49:07 +0000 Is there any status on this PR, I have found that my server is exhibiting= the same issue that this PR is questioning, and this is using the same S= ATA controller, but on the Intel board (dmesg below)... can somebody PLEA= SE look at this. I have seen this issue brought up at no least of 4 times= ont he mailing list and trice as a PR. I know we're all running 4.10, bu= t it's supposed to be STABLE, and it's truly not. I'd be willing to run w= hatever debugging commands are nessesary to help with diagnosing this for= any willing developer who will make an honest attempt at fixing it. This= problem with SATA has been around for close to a year... what's the deal= ? Copyright (c) 1992-2004 The FreeBSD Project.
