As both an administrator and a system builder who cannot afford the labor and downtime inherent in frequent operating system upgrades, it is important to me to be able to build systems whose operating system version will be supported for at least 18 months (and, preferably, two years). Would it be possible to extend support for FreeBSD 8.0-RELEASE until mid-2011 or 2012 -- or, if this is not practical, quickly release a FreeBSD 8.1 which will be supported for at least that long? --Brett Glass
