Try the Xfree86 documentation. All video cards will do text and most will do VESA which is the limit of FreeBSD's graphical capabilities :) > I'm thinking about replaceing my old s3 trio dx graphics card, but i'm also > kind of poor..and australian which hampers things even more... Well, a newer S3.. You can get a TNT2 M64 PCI for ~AU$120, and an AGP version for ~AU$110. (32Mb RAM blah blah blah). These work pretty well in X.. You *will* have trouble finding PCI cards :( You can get ATI Rage Pro Turbo's for ~AU$80. --- Daniel O'Connor software and network engineer for Genesis Software - http://www.gsoft.com.au "The nice thing about standards is that there are so many of them to choose from." -- Andrew Tanenbaum To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
