"dramatically reduce"? How? Currently it seems it gets even bigger:

[helmut@BSDHelmut ~]$ ls -s /usr/ports/www/typo3.org/pkg-plist
 592 /usr/ports/www/typo3.org/pkg-plist
[helmut@BSDHelmut ~]$ ls -s /usr/ports/www/typo3/pkg-plist
 672 /usr/ports/www/typo3/pkg-plist
[helmut@BSDHelmut ~]$
