If it bridges, you just need dhcp to get an address from a central host. If it acts as a router (with newer software) you can either use DHCP or I think it just does address translation and routes anything in the 10 network. At least, that's what I gleem from the people handling it here. It's all acedemic to me, I'll 5 miles from the CO.
