If so, you add this to the port Makefile: CONFIGURE_ARGS+= --skip-validation Alternately, you could add something similar to /etc/make.conf, wrapped with a check for the proper port directory. Then the question is whether this is a bug in the port as it stands or a problem in your local environment that requires this option to be enabled.
