I have a problem with inverse console video (TERM=cons25). The easiest way I have found to produce the problem is: less </dev/null; clear Enter that, press q to make list quit, and now the entire screen is in reverse video. more will do it also. The easiest way to clear the screen back to normal white-on-black is: vi :q This inverse video anomaly creeps in in places like elm, more, less, etc. It makes man page viewing unpleasant. Mutt on the other hand, does not seem to produce any lingering inverse video problems. How can I fix this so that more/less/elm don't make the screen diffi- cult to view?
