I am running Xinside 2.1. I installed FreeBSD 2.1.5-RELEASE over the weekend. I had it running just the way I wanted it, but today, I try to startx, and I get this: FreeBSD using /dev/ttyv3 and then a long pause, followed by: TRANS(SocketUNIXConnect) () Can't Connect errno=2 TRANS(SocketUNIXConnect) () Can't Connect errno=2 TRANS(SocketUNIXConnect) () Can't Connect errno=2 TRANS(SocketUNIXConnect) () Can't Connect errno=2 TRANS(SocketUNIXConnect) () Can't Connect errno=2 TRANS(SocketUNIXConnect) () Can't Connect errno=2 Fatal server error: Failed to establish all listening sockets giving up xinit: connection refused (errno 61) Now i fiddled around with the other two terminals and didn't get any luck. Then, I decided to dial up from the console using ppp. When I've dialed in and established my link, I try 'startx' again and it works! X starts up! What short of ghosts and demons is going on here? -pH -------------- Phil Humpherys Email: ph@imall.com Systems Administrator http://ph.imall.com/ iMALL, Inc.
