I'm trying to install beta5 (amd64) on a Dell 2850 with dual Nocona CPU @ 3.2 GHz and 4 GB RAM; Perc 4e/Di RAID-controller. It stops when it's probing the IDE-CD (Teac). Installing beta5 (amd64) on a Dell 1850 progressed without any problems. This has an LSI-card (mpt-driver). The amd64 port appears slightly faster than it's i386-counterpart, so I'd like to install amd64 on the 2850'er as well. I'm able to boot beta4 and -5 (i386) without any problems. regards Claus
