I'm to use samba with encrypted password. But I can't get it to work. i've turned on in my smb.conf such options as security = user encrypt passwords = yes ... and so on Also I've prepared valid /usr/local/private/smbpasswd but it doesn't work. All seems to be fine. But when I look through my log file, I see that password doesn't match. I've found that I need samba compiled with libdes. How would I ensure that samba installed from packages was compiled with libdes? One more question: Does samba use FreeBSD DES encryption code? (I didn't install it) be good, andy Some users are alive only because it's illegal to kill them To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
