Have you tried ifconfig <NIC> up/down? When I had the same problem with an unnamed ISP *cough*bellsouth*cough* I made a script that cron ran once an hour. It pinged 3 outside ip's and if none responded, then it would ifconfig down, ifconfig up, and when it came back up, it requested an IP from the DHCP server. -Otter }-----Original Message----- }From: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG }[mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG]On Behalf Of Richard Kiss }Sent: Saturday, December 16, 2000 3:12 PM }To: FreeBSD-Questions }Subject: Can I Turn Off 10base-T Carrier on Linksys LNE100TX? } } }I have a FreeBSD box connected to a DSL modem.
