I reverted to perl 5.005_03 and rebiult phoenix. When I started it up, I got the error message that the others were reporting. Reverting back to 5.8.0 didn't fix the problem. Only by rebuilding phoenix with perl 5.8.0 did the problem disappear. Furthermore, with phoenix built against 5.8.0, use.perl system let the program run fine. In short, phoenix NEEDS perl5.8.0 to build a working version. The whole ".if ${PERL_MAJOR} < 5 || ${PERL_MAJOR} == 5 && ${PERL_MINOR} < 8" should probably be whacked. - -Adam - -- Adam Weinberger adam@vectors.cx adamw@FreeBSD.ORG -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQE9xlTko8KM2ULHQ/0RAn0VAKDZZY5Zy75T5MkTZmTXr+LmDuZuCwCfUWOD VOdJDSefrVQZHzpoFlIeNSU= =GTgf -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
