It's a know bug according to VMware support and they say it is fixed in VMware 3. Since they don't support VMware host on FreeBSD it's up to us to get it working. I started going through the changes that were done with VMware 2 and applying them to VMware 3 but it's taken some time to learn the code etc. So if anyone else is working on it please let me know so we can avoid duplicate efforts.
