--- Comment #15 from Rick Macklem <rmacklem@FreeBSD.org> ---
Oops, I was wrong. (Maybe Heimdal just returned the principal name 10+
years ago, but no longer.)

If you look at (under your FreeBSD source tree):
crypto/heimdal/lib/gssapi/krb5/export_name.c
you'll see that it puts a bunch of junk in front of the principal
name. (It looks like it is always the same # of bytes, so for your case
I'd guess it's always 19bytes of junk.)

I'd guess that krb5_aname_to_localname() found in:
crypto/heimdal/lib/krb5/aname_to_localname.c
knows how to get rid of the junk, but that isn't callable from
the kernel, I'd guess? (I think the gssd daemon will only handle
a subset of the gss_XXX() calls.)

So, I don't think this is a bug and that leaves us with the crashes
due to a NULL cl_cname and I'm hoping they were caused by the race
fixed by the 2nd patch.

Good luck with it, rick
