That's nasty.  Why doesn't it send back a 5xx error for an empty envelope
value?

A lot of mailer-daemon error messages are sent with a blank like this and
without an error code...

Should see how much the code has improved.  Last time I looked a newer
version the coding style still left a bit to be desired, IMO.
