BSDi has to pay their electricity, ISP, and employee salaries somehow. 
Else how would Jordan feed his cat?

There isn't anything on the other 3 discs that you can't download. 
Their only advantage is the packaging. And that many undecided 
customers would not chose a FreeBSD CD set in the store if it had less 
discs than a Linux distribution.
