BSD-users,

just bought a new disk (MAXTOR 6L080L4), after installing a
system (4.6-RELEASE) I am getting these messages in the log:

Aug 8 23:51:21 kot /kernel: ad0s1g: hard error reading fsbn 302281919 of 146946624-146946639 (ad0s1 bn 302281919
; cn 18816 tn 45 sn 44) status=59 error=40
Aug 8 23:51:21 kot /kernel: spec_getpages:(#ad/0x20006) I/O read failure: (error=5) bp 0xcc4dd63c vp 0xd647f140
Aug 8 23:51:21 kot /kernel: size: 8192, resid: 8192, a_count: 8192, valid: 0x0
Aug 8 23:51:21 kot /kernel: nread: 0, reqpage: 1, pindex: 5, pcount: 2
Aug 8 23:51:21 kot /kernel: vm_fault: pager read error, pid 242 (man)
Aug 8 23:51:21 kot /kernel: pid 242 (man), uid 9: exited on signal 11

Am I correct that the disk has bad sectors and has to be replaced?

Many thanks,

Vladimir
