Caveat: I've not yet bothered to get sound running on my (Dell) Laptop, so I've not been through all the heartache of getting sound running. To be honest, I use it as a 'workstation' (is that like a "train station" - a place where trains stop?), and my colour scheme on the display is 'grey on grey' ;') > > One of my attempts at this was the following line... > > device pcm0 at isa? irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x0 > have a look at sbc(4) - this is the "Creative Sound Blaster ISA and compatible bridge device driver" for "ESS ES1868, ES1869, ES1879 and ES1888". I'm pretty sure this won't be the "whole" answer, but it should be a 'good start'. hth, h -- Harry Woodward-Clarke To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
