I suspect that such change is very complex and not limited to recompilation= and dso versions bump. We need to ensure that len field is filled, and perhaps checked at right places. Since OFED code comes from Linux where no len fie= ld exists AFAIR, it means the full audit of the vendor code. Also it means a serious incompatibility with the Linux code, where IB/RDMA apps cannot be recompiled on FreeBSD without even more code changes.
