I don't plan to revert upstream defaults[1]. Sway config isn't designed to be used unmodified[2]. Patching downstream may confuse new users just as likely as the current discrepancy. Curiously, OpenBSD changes the default to xterm[3] as it's part of base system component to enable graphics support.
