Good day ppl I have installed mysql323-server from the ports without any command line arguments on freebsd 4.7. i start the sql server by running /usr/local/etc/rc.d/mysqld.sh start the server seems to start fine, but as soon as i try to connect to it, it gives the following error: ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) the file /tmp/mysql.sock does not exsist though can someone please help me with this? thanks Wayne In a world with no boundaries, who needs gates?
