Bill, here is my patch for ethereal. This works with GTK+ 1.2 and 2, and fixes the lockup encountered when running with GTK+ 2 by using select() on the bpf file descriptor to see if we have packets to read.=20 The ability for this to work was introduced by the patch in http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=3D22063, so it should be fairly safe to use this. If you have no objection, I'll go ahead and commit this. http://www.marcuscom.com/downloads/ethereal.diff Joe --=20 PGP Key : http://www.marcuscom.com/pgp.asc --=-vVRRBKm2pA6MXIMsoH5d Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBA/c2Xb2iPiv4Uz4cRAo0qAKCuDlI7XqQ4t3SZ8b8F7slefuMjwACgsNFZ dWkRwA/5qe34jzD3kpLfAMI= =OetU -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-vVRRBKm2pA6MXIMsoH5d--
