I have clobbered windows, I presume, as I went thru install (partially installed) when I ran into fact that generic driver does not recognize this model Mitsumi drive. I am guessing that there is a driver on the Install CD-rom disk which of course my kernal cannot read. hmm..... (catch 22). Will the mcd0a driver on the install disk (walnut creek pkg) talk to my 12x Mitsumi? And how can I introduce it or proper driver of your suggestion to my presently faulty kernel? thanks Kevin email addr: enrak99@aol.com with apprec.
