I have played with the scsi delay in the kernel config, the last time i
rebooted it didn't display the message anymore.
It has something to do with warm and cold reboots I think.

Yes, thats another strange thing, but since i never saw anyone with 40.0MHz reported
I assumed it was ok.
The Quantum is the only device on the Ultra2 cable.

Aha ok, it looks a bit weird the msgs are being displayed over everything else.
And sometime all the lines are displayed twice.

There are loads of parameters in the adaptec bios, I'll have another look at them.

The Ultra2 cable is a wierd looking double twisted one, it looks very good shielded ;-)
